Eugene Haymond, 86, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment October 6, 1997 at Winterset Care Center North in Winterset. Graveside services will be today, Oct. 8, at Winterset Cemetery with Pastor John Shaull officiating the 10:30 a.m. services.
He was born to George W. and Edith L. (Kipp) Haymond on December 22, 1910, in Winterset. On December 21, 1932, he married Hazel Bernice Goodson In Marysville, Mo. He was a retired carpenter and farmer, as well as a lifetime resident of Madison County.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and one sister.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Hazel Haymond of Winterset; one son, Bill Haymond of Omaha, Neb.; one daughter, Betty L. Bumbarger of Winterset; two sisters, Margaret Welch of Winterset, Mary Egy of Winterset, two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
