ELWOOD M. TRAVIS

Elwood M. Travis, 77, died at Memorial Hospital last Tuesday, Oct. 25, 1977. He was a resident of Winterset Care Center North, born in Peru, Iowa on March 26, 1900.

Mr. Travis was the son of Thomas H. and Eliza Alice (Bird) Travis. He married Marion E. Blazer on October 13, 1977 (sic) in Missouri.

Employed as an electrician and plumber, Mr. Travis was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marion; two daughters, Mrs. Lorna St. Gelais of Canada; Mrs. Genevieve Naughton of Des Moines; one step-daughter, Mrs. Betty Kirkland of Macksburg; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one brother Warren B. Travis of Winterset. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Elwood Travis were conducted Friday Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. Clarence Hamilton officiating. Burial was made at the Peru Cemetery.
