LEW WILDIN

Lew Wildin, 84, of Winterset, died of cancer Feb. 2, 1995 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Feb. 6 at the Patterson United Methodist Church in Patterson. The Rev. Ed Poston officiated the ceremony with burial following at the Montpelier Cemetery in Patterson.

He was born Nov. 22, 1910 in Madison County to J. Ervin and Jennie (Stephens) Wildin. He married Lorraine Taylor on March 13, 1932 in Madison County. He was a lifetime resident of the county and had been a farmer. He was a member of the Patterson United Methodist Church; Farm Bureau; and had served on the Patterson School Board for several and had been a Crawford Township Trustee for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include one son, Larry Wildin and wife Norma of St. Charles; one daughter, Nancy Horn and husband Tom of Winterset; three brothers, Clarence Wildin of St. Charles, Ed Wildin of Winterset and Darrel Wildin of Winterset; four sisters, Zelda Buck of Glendale, Calif. Irma Harpole of Winterset, Gertrude Hudson of Winterset and Phyllis Pace of Winterset; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
