Larry Lee Allsup, 65, of Stuart, died of cancer Saturday, June 8, 2002, at home. Services were held June 11 at Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham, with burial at Earlham Cemetery.

Larry Allsup was born Dec. 25, 1936, to Earnest and Susie Allsup in Dallas County and had lived in the Stuart area all of his life. He married Jane Smith on May 30, 1959. He was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Stuart.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and a sister, Linda Millee.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; three sons, Larry of Stuart, David of Dexter, and Rodney of Fontenelle; a daughter, Genise Allsup of Stuart; his father, Earnest of Winterset; a brother, Wayne of Des Moines; a sister, Glorial Merical of Adel; five grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
