Winterset, IowaCLAUDE VANCE DIES AT 79 YARS OF AGE
Claude Vance, member of a well-known Winterset family, died July 4 at a hospital in Whittier, Calif., after and illness of several weeks. He was 79 years of age.
Mr. Vance was a son of Walter and Lucy Vance, and was born in Madison county Oct. 13, 1884. He left here many years ago.
He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter, and several grandchildren, all living in California. He also leaves four brothers, Harry and George Vance of Winterset, Lynn Vance of Des Moines and Robert Vance of Denver, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Wauchope of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Glen Barr of Lorimor.
Funeral services and burial were held at Whittier.
