Blanche Kuntz Easter, 87, of Winterset, died of a stroke on Jan. 14, 1995 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Jan. 16 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. The Rev. Don Frank officiated the ceremony with burial at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born June 21, 1907 in Madison County to Fred V. and Ethel (McDonald) Kuntz. She married William Ford Easter on June 21, 1931 in Winterset. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Madison County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star; Music Club; Women's Club; Alpha Chi Omega Sorority; W.S.C.S.; Madison County Hospital Guild; Sweet Adelines. She played church piano at West Star Methodist Church for a number of years and was a local, state and national member of the Federation of Music Clubs and also had served as state secretary.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving relatives include her husband; one son, William K. Easter and wife Meredith of Winterset; two sisters, Katherine Sawyers of Winterset and Eunice Hann of Winterset; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
