William F. Easter, 88, of Winterset, died of complications of abdominal surgery Feb. 6, 1995 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Feb. 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. The Rev. John Shaull will officiate the ceremony with burial at the Winterset Cemetery with Masonic Graveside services to be held.

He was born in Madison County on April 8, 1906 to Josiah and Emma (Ford) Easter. He married Blanche Kuntz in Winterset on June 21, 1931. He was a lifetime resident of Winterset and a retired farmer. He had managed a Ford garage from 1926 - 1934 and was a licensed pilot. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset; the Masons (Evening Star Lodge 43) and was past Master; and a former Eastern Star member.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers; and seven sisters.

Surviving relatives include one son, William K. Easter and wife Meredith of Winterset; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
