Services for Louise C. Johnson, 88, Winterset, who died April 27, 1990 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Mon., April 30, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Clarke County on August 16, 1901, she was the daughter of Enoch W. and Evelyn Prewitt Carlson. She was a teacher in Winterset and Lombard, Ill., and retired in 1962.

On August 4, 1962, she was married to Will C. Johnson in Des Moines. She lived in Winterset since 1962 and was a member of the First Christian Church, the Tri-L Club in Winterset and the Church Women United.

Survivors include a stepson, Clarence Johnson of Winterset; two nieces, Jeanne Wroan of Bloomington, Ill., and Lucille Weare of Brighton, Mich.; and sister, Rogna Carlsn of Emmetsburg and Evelyn Koring of Bloomington, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother.
