Marie D. Cochran, 75, of Winterset, died of a heart attack July 29, 1996 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 1 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Pastor Jon Gaul will officiate the services and burial will be at the Moon Cemetery in Macksburg.
She was born Jan. 15, 1921, to Carl Envor Jensen and Bertha Pearl James of Casey. She married Wesley Wallace Lee Cochran on May 25, 1942. She was a retired cook and had worked for the Club Cafe, Aldo Cafe and Grace's Cafe all in Winterset. She lived in Winterset for 35 years after coming from Menlo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one son; and one brother.
She was survived by three sons, Carl Lee Cochran and wife Cindy of Minden, Robert Eugene Cochran and wife Pamela of Des Moines and Willis Dale Cochran and wife Bonnie of Mesquite, Tx.; two sisters, Lucille Draman and husband Roy of Orient, Lora Nunguesser and husband Francis of Golden, Mo., two sister-in-law, Dorothy Smid of Creston and Margaret Jensen of Stuart; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
