Erma Louise Thrailkill, 82, of Winterset died January 19, 1994 at the Care Center South in Winterset. Funeral services were January 24, 1994 at the Macksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Van Holland and the Rev. Donald Frank officiating. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery.

She was born April 22, 1911 in Earlham to Joseph Frederick and Bertha (Riser) Imboden. She married Maurice Edward Thrailkill on June 3, 1936 at the Penn Center Church in Madison County.

She was a lifetime resident of Madison County and a retired teacher and homemaker. She was also a member of the Macksburg United Methodist Church; Delta Zeta Sorority; Madison County Cancer Campaign Chairperson; Hawthorne Rebekah Lodge Past Noble Grand; Decoration of Chivalry from Rebekah Lodge; and the Women's Relief Corp. She was also a Sunday school teacher and held the president position and other offices of the United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and a sister.

Surviving relatives include her husband; two sons, Ramon of Rogers, Arkansas and George of Winterset; two daughters, Nila Geisel of Arlington, Texas, and Lila Huffman of Sydney, Montana; one brother, Richard Imboden of Sun City West, Arizona; one sister, Ona Nelson of Nevada; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
