Erma Odam, Winterset

Erma L. Odam, 94, of Winterset, died of pneumonia Dec. 23, 1996 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Dec. 27 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Pastor Bob Epperson officiated the services and burial was at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Madison County.

She was born in Green county on Sept. 27, 1902 to Orson and Minnie (Greiner) Beebe. She married Roy Puterbaugh on Oct. 14, 1947. She later married Bob Odam in 1964. She was a 1921 graduate of Jefferson High School and had attended business college in Cedar Rapids. She was a retired clerical worker and had been a resident of Winterset since 1974, having moved here from California. She was a member of the Iris Club; Women's Club; and the First Christian Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one brother; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include two step-daughters, Nancy Perrin and Edith Brown; and special friend, Katie Mahoney, all of California.
