Ppage 1Death of Mrs. O. Mosby
Mrs. O. Mosby died at her home in Douglas township Monday morning. Mrs. Mosby has been in ill health for several months and Thanksgiving day suffered a light stroke. She grew steadily worse until death came Monday.
Funeral services were held at Greenfield Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Methodist church there.
Mrs. Mosby was 64 years of age at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband O. Mosby and two sons, Calvin Silverthorne of Ottumwa and Oscar Silverthorne of Perry, Oklahoma.

Mrs. O. Mosby, 63, died at 4:15 Monday morning at her home west of Winterset. She had been in ill health some tiem and had been bedfast since Thanksgiving.
The Rev. A. R. Weed, pastor of the West Star and Worthington churches, conducted the services at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Greenfield Methodist church; burial was in the Greenfield cemetery.
Mrs. Mosby is survived by her husband, her second marriage taking place about two years ago; her two sons J. C. Silverthorne of Ottumwa, and J. O. Silverthorne of Perry, Oklahoma, and four grandchildren, sons and daughters of J. C. Silverthorne.

Mrs. Maria (Silverthorne) Mosby, 64, died at her home four miles west of Winterset, December 5.
S. Maria Mason, eldest daughter of John C. and Susan A. Mason, was born at Marion, Linn county, Iowa, April 22, 1868. When but a child she moved with her parents to Greenfield, Iowa, where she received her education in the public schools, and later taught there.
In 1899 she was married to A. D. Silverthorne of Adair county, who died December 12, 1923. To this union two sons were born: John Calvin and J. Oscar.
She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Greenfield for a number of years, recently transferring her membership to the West Star Methodist church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, chapter No. 180 at Winterset.
On Christmas day 1930, she was married to Osmond Mosby of Winterset.
Besides her husband she leaves two sons, J. Oscar of Perry Oklahoma; and John Calvin of Ottumwa, Iowa; a step-son, Ernest Mosby of Drakesville, Iowa; and four grandchildren; Ernest, Robert, Betty and Jack Silverthorne of Ottumwa.
Funeral services were conducted in the Greenfield Methodist church by her pastor, the Rev. A. R. Weed, assisted by the Rev. W. Frank Lister, and the Greenfield Order of the Eastern Star.
The pallbearers were: George Sawyer, Will Roberts of Greenfield; Bert Hollen, O. E. Hollen, Mr. Cox and Dr. Vernon of Winterset. Burial was in the Greenfield cemetery.
