Funeral Services Were Held Sunday at Greenfield; With Burial There
Harrison Franklin Fox, a resident of Madison and Adair counties most of his life, died Friday, Sept. 18, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 79 years of age.
Mr. Fox was born in this county Dec. 18, 1879, a son of Elijah and Mary Elenn Fox. He was married Feb. 10, 1900, to Sadie V. Reynolds. Her death occurred in 1932.
After his marriage, he and his wife homesteaded near Shatituck, Okla. for three years, after which they spent their lives in Madison and Adair counties.
He was a member of the Webster Methodist church.
Surviving are six children: Mrs. Estella DeVault, Mrs. Vera Harper, and Mrs. Ruth Bruett, all of Winterset; Mrs. Florence Gilbert and Claude Fox of Greenfield; and Lloyd Fox of Pueblo, Colo.; four brothers, Walter Fox of Emmett, Ida., Orval Fox of Harrison, Nebr., Leslie Fox of Red Oak and Fred Fox of Ft. Dodge; a sister; Mrs. Kate Burrell of Greenfield; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Bickford-Murray Funeral home in Greenfield Sunday, in charge of the Rev. A. R. Weed. Burial was made in the Greenfield cemetery.
