Nora Holliday Dies Suddenly

Death Results From Heart Attack at Her Home in Winterset

Mrs. Nora Holliday, a resident of Winterset since 1944, died suddenly at her home in Winterset on Tuesday, Dec. 30, as result of a heart attack. She was 77 years of age.

Mrs. Holliday was a native of Madison county, where she was born Oct. 26, 1881, a daughter of John and Florence Lake. She was married Jan. 14, 1903 to Charles N. Wambold. They lived several years on a farm near Greenfield, where their son, Clyde Wambold, was born. The husband and father died in 1926.

She was married in 1929 to Walter C. Holliday. They lived on the farm near Greenfield until 1944 when they moved to Winterset.

She was a member of Eastern Star for many years.

Surviving are her son, Clyde Wambold of Greenfield; three sisters, Mrs. Hester Hartsook of Greenfield, Mrs. Alta Booth of Shambaugh, and Mrs. Katie Campbell of Winterset; a brother Ray Lake of Creston; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held from her home in Winterset and from the Bickford Funeral home in Greenfield last Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Donald Arthur. Burial was made in the Greenfield cemetery.
