Page 3Mrs. Lucy M. Bertholf died at her home in Lincoln township last Sunday morning after a protracted illness. The funeral occurred Monday and the remains were interred in the Kilgore cemetery.
Lucy M. Wilson was born in Marion county, Indiana, Jan. 22, 1854. Her parents came to Madison county in 1855 and settled on what was called Big Grove in Monroe township. Was married to C. G. Bertholf Nov. 1st, 1880. To this union was born five children, Elwood, Frank, Lee, Edgar and Harold. Frank and Lee died in 1892. She was kind to those around her and loved by all her friends. She believed that Jesus died for her and died in full assurance and Faith.

Mrs. Lucy Bertholf died at her home in Lincoln township on Sunday, Aug. 23, 1908. The funeral services were held at the residence, conducted by Rev. Sam Callison, Monday at ten o’clock. She was laid to rest in the Kilgore cemetery.

Mrs. Lucy Margaret Bertholf, wife of Chas. Bertholf, of Lincoln township, passed away Sunday. Funeral services conducted by Rev. S. J. Callison, were held from the residence on Monday at 10 o'clock and interment made in the Kilgore cemetery. The deceased is survived by the husband and three to whom the sympathy of the community is freely, extended.
