Joan Wilson, 71, of Sunrise Beach, Mo., passed away Sunday evening Feb. 20, 2005 at her home. She was born July 7, 1933 in Winterset, the daughter of Earl E. and Hazel (Roberts) Crawford.

She was united in marriage on July 13, 1952 in Winterset with Maurice W. Wilson, who preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2002.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and member of the Methodist Church of Webster and American Legion Auxiliary Zack Wheat Post #624 of Sunrise Beach.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Wilson of Wildwood, Fla; and Kevin Wilson of Winter Haven, Fla.; one daughter, Sheryl Murphy of Camdenton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Robert Sean, Ryan and Katie Wilson and Jimmy, Krista and Rachel Murphy; four stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth, Katie and Michelle Goodman and Jacob Lopez; five great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Darrell Wilson of Springfield, Illl; two sister-in-law, Mary Fran Almquist and Patricia Benoit, both of Winterset; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joe Phillip Crawford.

Visitation was held at noon Saturday, Feb. 26, with funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Linn Creed Baptist, Linn Creek, Mo. Interment was in the Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery, Laurie, Mo.
