Death of Glen Weaver

Bevinton, Ia., (Special) August 14 - Glen Weaver, owner and operator of the garage and oil pumps here, died after an hour's illness, last Sunday, about five o'clock in the afternoon. He died from the effects of heat prostration, which caused a blood clot. He fainted in his garage while repairing a tire. He was carried to his home nearby, and died a few minutes after a physician arrived. His wife, who was visiting her daughter in Indianola, arrived home a few seconds before the end came. He is survived by his wife, four daughters and three sons. Mrs. Morris Wise of Bevington; Mrs. Oral Lettington of Inidanola; Marjorie, Patty Ann, Glen Jr., Ralph and Donald, all of Bevington.

Rev. H. Mueller, pastor of the Lutheran church in Martensdale, conducted his services at the church, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, and burial was in the Linn Grove cemetery.

Glenn Weaver

Glenn Weaver, son of James and Hanna Weaver, was born October 14, 1887, on a farm near Cantril, Iowa. He lived there until his parents died, whereupon he moved to Des Moines and followed the occupation of a glazer for eleven years.

He was united in marriage with Elvira Johnson in the year 1912, making their home in Des Moines. Mr. Weaver pursued his occupation as a glazer until the year 1917, when the family moved to the neighborhood of Prole. There he spent about two years farming. In 1919 he bought the garage in Bevington, where he worked as a mechanic until his sudden death on August 12, 1934.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife and seven children, Mrs. Audrey Wise, Mrs. Mildred Lettington, Glenn Jr., Marjorie, Ralph, Donald, and Patricia, one grandchild and many friends.
