OLIN E. GIFFORD Died on Sunday

Olin E. Gifford, a resident of Madison County since 1937, died at his home near Winterset Sunday, May 21, 1950. He was 50 years of age, and had been in ill health for several months.

Mr. Gifford was born near Pleasantville on Feb. 6, 1900, the son of Arthur and Cora Gifford. He was married April 21, 1925, to Avis J. Van Loon. They were the parents of two children, Marilyn and Argyle.

They lived on a farm near Pleasantville for 12 years before moving to a farm near Winterset in 1937.

In addition to his wife and children he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Donald Shivvers of Knoxville, a brother, Guy Gifford of Pleasantville, and a grandson, Dennis Miller of Lorimor.

Funeral services were held from the Richards funeral home this Wednesday, in charge of the Rev. Thomas Patterson. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
