MRS. FRED HUDSON Died on Wednesday

Mrs. Fred Hudson, a life-long resident of Madison county, died last Wednesday, May 17, 1950, at her home in Scott township. She was 71 years of age and had been seriously ill following a stroke two weeks ago.

Bessie Hudson was born in Winterset March 26, 1879, a daughter of Nathan and Malinda Mendenhall. As a young woman she served as a teacher in the Winterset schools.

She was married to Fred Hudson Sept. 28, 1904. They were the parents of four sons, one of whom George, preceded the mother in death. She is survived by her husband and three sons, Robert, Tom and Fred.

Mrs. Hudson had been a member of P.E.O. for nearly half a century. Throughout her life she was active in church, social and community welfare work.

Funeral services were conducted Friday from Anderson's home for funerals, in charage of the Rev. Clement Loehr, pastor of the Winterset Presbyterian Church. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
