Services for Brian R. Cleghorn, 9, Winterset, who died Saturday, July 16, in a drowning accident at Avon Lake south of Des Moines, were held Tuesday, July 19, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial was at Avon Cemetery.

He was born in Des Moines where he lived, moving to Winterset a year ago. He was a student at Winterset Community Schools and was a member of the Winterset Little League.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Kathy Cleghorn of Winterset; a brother, Todd of Des Moines, his maternal grandparents, Henry and Lucinda Climie of Aryshire; and his paternal grandparents, Harold and Peggy Cleghorn of Winterset.
