Services for John M. Pindell, 65, Knoxville, who died at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines on December ll (1989) were held at the Stroud-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home in Afton on Thurs. Dec. 14 with the Rev. Eadie Stephens officiating.
Burial was at the Moon Cemetery.
Born in Macksburg on January 4, 1924, he was the son of Ethan and Letha (Witt) Pindell. He graduated from high school in Macksburg and lived there until moving to a farm near Creston in 1952. He moved into Creston in 1973. Mr. Pindell was a truck driver, a member of the Macksburg United Methodist Church and an army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a sister Mary Jane Needham and husband Robert of Afton.
