IDA H. COMP

Services for Ida H. Comp, 94, Winterset, who died Aug. 30 at the Madison County Hospital, were held Saturday, Sept. 3 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

A recent resident of the Bethesda Care Center, Mrs. Comp was born at Flanagan, Ill., on June 15, 1889, the daughter of John and Frances Wermersen. She lived most of her life in Madison County and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She married George William Comp Dec. 10, 1909 in Madison County. He died April 28, 1955.

Survivors include a son, Russell of Winterset; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, a daughter, a granddaughter, three brothers and two sisters.
