Services for Mary Marjorie Jackson, 68, lifetime resident of Madison County who died of heart failure at her rural Winterset residence, Mar. 26, 1983, were held Wednesday, Mar. 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurice Schulte officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Winterset Oct. 25, 1914, she was the daughter of Robert and Bertha Beem Clopton. She was a housewife and worked at the school lunch program from 1964 to 1982. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Jackson was married to Francis Bass Sept. 14, 1937 at Greenfield. He died Dec. 25, 1944. She was married to Robert Jackson Oct. 12, 1946 at Troy, Kan. He died July 2, 1964.
Survivors include sons, Thomas, Robert and Richard Bass, all of Winterset, James Jackson of Winterset, Dennis Jackson of Sentinal, Okla. and Michael Jackson of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., daughters, Judy Finnegan of Iowa Falls, Connie Weidman of Griswold, Kathie Wass of Clear Lake, and Pamela Dick of Pocahontas; a step-daughter, Patricia Hurwitz of Levittown, N.Y.; a brother, Earl Clopton of Winterset, a sister, Cleo Williams of Winterset; 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
