Corwin Jefferson Beverlin, 103, of Winterset died Oct. 16, 2004 at his home.

Private services were held. Burial was at Peru Cemetery.

Corwin Beverlin was born Oct. 17, 1900 to Omar and Kate (Clark) Beverlin of Peru, He spent his life in the Peru area where he was a farmer and carpenter. In 1922, he was united in marriage to Estina Lorimor. She preceded him in death in 1973. In 1974, he was united in marriage to Marie Dowler. Corwin was a member of the Masonic Lodge and United Methodist Church, both of Peru.
He was active up until his death, one day prior to his 104th birthday.

He was preceded in death by both wives and one son, Max Beverlin. He is survived by one son, Jack Beverlin of Hersher, Ill., two brothers, Carol Beverlin of Winterset and Jim Beverlin of Michigan; a sister Reva Thomas of Littleton, Colo.; and six grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.
