December 1969Mrs. Roy Worley, a life-time resident of the Winterset community, died last Wednesday Dec. 18, at Detroit, Mich., where she had been living recently at the home of a daughter. She was 81 years of age.
Mrs. Worley was the former Carrie F. Eskew, daughter of John M. and Elizabeth Ann Owen Eskew. She was born near Winterset Feb. 3, 1887. She was married in December, 1913 to Roy W. Worley at the Methodist church in Winterset.
Mrs. Worley was a member of the Methodist church. She was affiliated with the Eastern Star, the Zion Ladies club and the Hooosier (Prairie) Club.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Malcolm White of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Donald Evans of Detroit, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Della Farrell of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Friday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First United Methodist Church here. Burial was made in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
