Albert Edgar Jones, 78 of Peru, died Nov. 29, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Alex Bauman officiating. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday Dec. 2 at the Zion Federated Church at the Madison County Historical Complex with the family present from 6:30-8 p.m. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Albert Jones was born July 3, 1926 in Madison County to Loren D. and Nora (Harrell) Jones. He was a 1947 graduate of Winterset High School. A lifetime resident of Madison County. Albert had been a farmer. He also raised Belgian horses and Guernsey dairy cows. He was a member of the Iowa State Guernsey Breeders Association, South Central Iowa Draft Club and Mule Club.

He is survived by one son, Willis Jones of Van Meter; two daughters, Phyllis Jones of Peru and Alberta Brown of Webster City; a brother, Delbert Jones of Winterset; and five grandchildren.
