Death of R. S. Orris

Reuben S. Orris, died suddenly at his home in Winterset, Tuesday morning, Sept. 5th, at the age of 77 years. Mr. Orris was a resident of Madison county for over half a century, spending the past few years in Winterset. He was a veteran of the War of the Rebellion, and always took deep interest in Pitzer Post and its affairs.

Surviving him are: Mrs. Orris, three daughters, Miss Alma and Mrs. Chas. Hircock of Winterset and Mrs. Geo. Marley of Colorado, and one son, Dewey. Three brothers also remain, Aaron of Des Moines, L. A. and E. F. Orris of this city.

Burial services were held this afternoon at the home at 3 o'clock.
