Death of Mrs. Ollie Gentry

Mrs. Ollie Gentry, a former resident of Winterset, died last Thursday, June 13th, at her home in Morgan, Minnesota, after an extended illness. Mrs. Gentry had been in poor health for some time, and an operation was performed four months ago. This did not improve her condition, and she continued to fail.

Mrs. Gentry was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Ragan. She was born 46 years ago, on February 11, 1883, near Winterset. Her marriage to Mr. Gentry took place on March 5th, 1902. They lived near Winterset until in 1916, when they moved to Morgan, Minnesota, where they have since lived. Mr. and Mrs. Gentry have one daughter, Marie.

Besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Gentry is survived by two sisters and four brothers: Mrs. F. B. Brock, of Des Moines; Mrs. Henry Decker, of San Pedro, California; G. F. Ragan, of Morgan, Minnesota; C. F. Ragan, of St. Charles; Dr. L. E. Ragan, of Mitchellville and B. C. Ragan, of Winterset. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A short funeral service was conducted at the home in Morgan, Minnesota, and the body was brought back to Winterset. The Rev. F. Clare McCallon, of Winterset, conducted the services at the Ramsey-Richards funeral home on East Court Avenue, Monday, June 17, at 10 o'clock, and burial was made in the Rock City cemetery.
