Graveside services for Bernice Louise Spence, 60, of the Emmet Care Facility at Estherville, Iowa, who died Nov. 28, 1984, at the Marion Health Center Sioux City, were held Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Zanker officiating.
Born in Madison County on Aug. 8, 1924, she was the daughter of Lyle and Mary Rogers Smith.
She had lived in Estherville since 1964 and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, Michael Spence of Webster City; daughters, Anne Benson of Ames and Marilynn Devine of Conyers, Ga.; sisters Lyla Tidrick of Cedar Falls, Patricia Kuhns of Des Moines and Betty Jones of Ankeny; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
