Several years of failing health ended Sunday in the death of Mrs. Norris Jordan of Winterset at the home here of her daughter, Mrs. Opal Locke. She died at the age of 58 years.
Mrs. Jordan was the former Almeda Snyder, daughter of Joel and Mary Jane Snyder and was born in Washington County, Kansas on May 23, 1877 later moving to Iowa.
She was married to Norris Jordan on December 25, 1898. They were the parents of eleven children, all of whom survive. She is survived by her husband and the children: Mrs. Fay Wheeler, Norwalk, Mrs. Elva Mobley of Macksburg, Kenneth J. of Montour, Virgil J. of Des Moines, Mrs. Eleta Willcox and Mrs. Opal Locke of Winterset, Cecil J. of Tama, Russell, Uva, John and Leslie at home. She also leaves eight grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Vinnie Pulber of Montour and two brothers, Virgil Snyder of Winterset and Peter Snyder of Paxton, Illinois.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from Ramsey-Richards funeral home in charge of Rev. H. L. Olmstead of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
