JAMES JACKSON IS FOUND DEAD

Prominent Farmer Falls Dead In His Home -- Died in Morning, Found In Evening -- Death From Heart Disease -- Funeral Thursday Afternoon

James Jackson, prominent aged farmer living six miles west on the Bluff road, was found in his home on the floor dead at eight o'clock Monday evening by William Stanfield.

Since the death of his wife, Mr. Jackson has lived alone. Stanfield has lived with him for some time, the two men doing their own cooking. Monday morning Mr. Jackson went out in the field about nine o'clock where Mr. Stanfield was working but soon returned to the house. Stanfield went over to Tom Jackson's to do some work and remained all day returning home about nine o'clock in the evening, finding Jackson dead on the floor. He believes that Jackson died as soon as he went into the house as his hat was yet on. Mr. Jackson had suffered from heart trouble several years.

The family came to Madison county in 1903. Mrs. Jackson has been dead several years. He is survived by five sons, Arthur, William, Thomas, Robert and James, and two daughters, Mrs. Clara Fry and Miss Mary Jackson, of Chicago.

The funeral will be held at the home Thursday at two o'clock.
