Mrs. Iva M. Wasson, a resident of the Winterset community most of her life, died Friday, Aug. 23, 1968, at Memorial hospital here. She was 88 years of age.
Mrs. Wasson was born at Winterset, Aug. 27, 1879, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Boyles.
She was married to Jehile Wasson on June 1, 1904. Their married life was spent at Winterset, with the exception of a few years at Braddyville.
Mr. Wasson died in 1967, and a son, Frank also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Earl Wasson of Des Moines and Jay Phillip Wasson of Indianola, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Duane Boyles of Melcher.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home here conducted by the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset.
Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
