Funeral services were held Thursday from the First Christian church in Winterset for Ben B. Hartsook, whose death had occurred Aug. 20, 1968, at a nursing home in Omaha. The Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset, conducted the services. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mr. Hartsook was a retired farmer, and member of a prominent Lincoln township family. He was born in Madison county June 5, 1884, a son of William and Katherine Smoot Hartsook. His life was spent in farming. He had lived in Omaha the last three years.
Mr. Hartsook was married Sept. 8, 1902, to Verna M. Hann who preceded him in death. One daughter also preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Loraine Walford of Omaha; two sons, Howard Hartsook of Saugus, Calif., and Curtis Hartsook of Omaha; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
