Leona E. Fenimore, Texas

Leona Elizabeth Fenimore, 94, of Borger, Texas, died of a heart ailment Dec. 21, 1998, at Hansford Manor in Spearman, Texas.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 28, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with Pastor Joan White officiating. Burial was at Peru Cemetery.

Leona Finimore (Fenimore) was born May 6, 1904, in Kansas to John and Minnie (Begert) O'Brien. A graduate of Peru High School, she married William Bryan Fenimore on April 15, 1923, in Peru. She retired from the Peru Post Office following 30 years of service. Leona was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church in Peru.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by one son, Richard Fenimore of Novato, Calif.; one daughter, Dottie Mack of Borger, Texas; two sisters, Anna Beverlin of St. Marys, Kan., and Mary Irene Fowler of Fort Orange, Fla.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Peru.
