FRED BINNS, Winterset, Iowa

Services for Fred Binns, 89, rural Winterset, who died Feb. 6, 1987, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held at Collins Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 9, with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on Aug. 3, 1897, he was the son of Nathan and Martha Howard Binns. Mr. Binns was a retired farmer, a lifetime resident of Madison County and a member of the old Webster Methodist Church.

On Aug. 20, 1927, he married Margaret Mitchell in Madison County.

Survivors include sons, Carl and Paul, both of Winterset; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, five brothers and one sister
