Sherry Bierman, 66, of Lorimor, died of cancer Dec.21, 1995 at her home. Funeral services were Dec. 23, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Pastor Don Frank officiated the services and burial was at the Peru Cemetery.
She was born in Winterset on Dec. 3, 1929 to Ora Dale and Gertrude Elaine (Farr) Simmons. She married Clyde E. Bierma on May 12, 1951 in Minnesota. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Madsion County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving relatives include her husband of Lorimor; her mother of Winterset; three daughters, Julie VanDyke and husband Greg, Janet Reutzel and husband David, and JoAnn Berry and husband Randy, all of Winterset; two brothers, Charles Simmons of Manchester and Gary Simmons of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial contributins may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.
