Flossie Herwehe, Norwalk

Flossie Edna Herwehe, 107, of Norwalk died of a heart ailment June 11, 1999, at U.S.A. Health Care Center in Urbandale.

Graveside services were held Monday, June 14, at Peru Cemetery with the Rev. Joan White officiating.

Flossie Herwehe was born March 9, 1892, in Madison County to Anderson and Martha Adeline (Sawhill) Fenimore. She attended the Fenimore and Peru schools and Highland Park College in Des Moines. She married Fred'k A. Herwehe on Aug. 7, 1912, in Peru. She lived in several states while her husband was an engineer and then in Officers Training. They returned to Iowa following World War I and in 1944 moved to Norwalk. Flossie had been a stenographer and also a member of the United Methodist Church in Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by one daughter, Edna-Lois Alberts of Norwalk, and two grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Home in Truro.
