EMMA BINNS of Winterset Dies

Mrs. Charles Binns, of Winterset, a resident of Madison County since 1909, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 1967, at Memorial hospital here. She was 80 years of age.

Mrs. Binns was the former Emma Caroline Stone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Stone. She was born June 20, 1887, in London, England. When she was 21 years of age, she came to the United States with her father and brother. They settled in Colorado, where she engaged in the profession of nursing.

She was married to Charles B. Binns at Pueblo, Colo., on July 18, 1909. They made their home in Madison county. They moved into Winterset about 15 years ago.

Mrs. Binns was a member of the Worthington Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Doris Denton of Waukee, Eugene Binns of Earlham, and Lenard Binns of Winterset; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Eliza Winters of England.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Ward Young. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
