Mrs. Abrahams was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Sargeant, and they came to Iowa in 1865, and located on a farm in Union township. Mr. Sargeant was a farmer, carpenter and wagonmaker, and continued at that trade here, until his eyesight, which was impaired in the Civil war, made it necessary for him to give up his work.
Mrs. Abrahams had many friends in the community. She was raised in this county, and in July, 1879, she was married to Mr. Abrahams. She also leaves two sisters and one brother, who reside in Washington, and one sister in Los Angeles, California.
Rev. H. L. Olmstead, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ, and Rev. John T. Hall, pastor of the Baptist church, conducted the funeral services Tuesday afternoon, January 7th, at the Tidrick funeral home, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
