Blanch Travis, 94, of Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston died of pneumonia there Wednesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ankeny First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Peru Cemetery in Peru.

Mrs. Travis was born in Truro and had lived in Dallas Center from 1927 to 1990, when she moved to Johnston. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Dallas Center and Dallas Center Women's Club.

She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Mertz of Johnston, Jean Odefey of Bloomington, Minn., and Doris Preuss of Mason City; two sons, J. William of Vinton and Robert of Southlake, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Drumm Care Center.
