Services for Blanche Abrahams, 90, Winterset, who died Aug. 4 at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held on Monday, Aug. 7, at the Collins Funeral Home with John Safford officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County on Dec. 27, 1898, she was the daughter of Roy and March Coakley Rogers. She was a teacher and homemaker and lifetime resident of Madison County and was married to Leonard Abrahams in Winterset on Nov. 6, 1921.
Survivors include a daughter, Naomi Van Cleave and husband Marvin of Madison, Wis.; sisters, Wilma Naumann of Santa Monica, Calif., and Betty Braman of Winterset; four grandhcildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and two sisters.
