Alice Vaughan Clark, 96, died June 15 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines. Funeral services were held Tues., June 18 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Zona Lautt officiating.
A lifetime Madison County resident, she was born December 18, 1894 to Mathew Wilson and Eda (Weeks) Vaughan. She married Vernon Clark September 14, 1913 in Winterset. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, two brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter, and one great-grandchild.
Surivors include two sons, Cecil Vernon of Winterset and Raymond Guy and wife, Hazel of Boonebille; a sister, Estell Vaughan White of Minneapolis, Minn.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Burial was in McDonald-Chase Cemetery in Madison County.
