Leta Elizabeth Oglesbee Rogers Moudy, 85, of Des Moines died from complications following a stroke March 2, 1998, at her residence.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Peru Cemetery.

Leta Moudy was born in Griswold, Iowa. She lived 30 years in MIssouri prior to moving to Des Moines six years ago. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Mabel Hunt and Sarha Sherburne, both of Des Moines, Betty Cruz of Winterset and Shirley Bray of Ft. Worth, Texas; one son, Leonard Rogers Jr. of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
