Woodrow Wilson Haymond, 85, of Winterset, died of cancer August 4, 1997 at Winterset Care Center South. Graveside services are to be held August 7 at the Peru Cemetery with Pastor John Shaull officiating the 10:30 services. Visitation is today, Wednesday, from noon to 8 p.m.
He was born in Winterset on July 9, 1912, to George and Edith (Kipp) Haymond. On February 18, 1940, he married Nola Zain Hiatt in Peru. He was a salesman for manufactured housing before retiring. He was a resident of Winterset for the last 14 years after coming from California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother, and one sister.
Surviving relatives include one brother, Eugene Haymond of Winterset, and two sisters, Mary Egy of Winterset and Margaret Welch of Winterset.
Memorials may be directed to the Middle River Hospice.
