Cole Morgan Millsap, Winterset

Funeral services for Cole Morgan Millsap, 18, were held Tues., Nov. 26 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Shaull officiating. Mr. Millsap died November 22 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, of injuries received from a gunshot wound. The death was ruled accidental.

A life long Winterset resident, he was born July 5, 1973, the son of Keith Aldis Millsap and Patricia Ann Rynearson. He was shift supervisor at Pizza Hut in Winterset and a member of Peru Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother and a grandfather.

Surviving are his parents and step-parents, Jim and Patricia Rynearson and Keith and Sharon Millsap, all of Winterset; two brothers, Reese Wyatt Millsap and Lance Jason Millsap both of Winterset; three step-brothers, Jeff Scheffers and wife, Joyce, Jim Scheffers and wife, Chris, and Jesse Rynearson, all of Winterset; a step-sister, Shari Worshek of Winterset; grandparents, Glenn and Betty Stephenson of Peru and Louise Johnson of Mount Ayr; and step-grandparents, Jesse and Esther Rynearson of Lorimor and Pauline Hammar of Scranton.

Burial was at Peru Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Last week's Madisonian should have listed Cole Millsap as a 1991 Winterset High School graduate rather than a 1990 WHS graduate. We apologize for the error.
