Kenneth Allen Dillinger, DeSoto

Funeral services for Kenneth Dillinger, 31, will be held Fri., Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie Koons officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with family visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Mr. Dillinger died Sun., Dec. 22 at his home in DeSoto. The death was ruled a suicide.

Born June 28, 1960 in Des Moines, he was the son of Robert Verl and Margaret Jean (Howell) Dillinger. He grew up around DeSoto before moving to Loveland, Colo. He married Cynthia Gordon on February 18, 1984 at Loveland, Colo. He returned to DeSoto two years ago and was a dishwasher for the Iowa Machine Shed in Des Moines.

Kenneth Dillinger was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Surviving are his wife; his mother and step-father, Margaret and Willard Stanford of DeSoto; a daughter, Jennifer Dillinger of DeSoto; four brothers, Russell of Peru, Robert of Patterson, Steve of Dallas Center and Roger of Adel; a sister, Beverly Chapman of Earlham; a step-brother, Dale Stanford of Newark, Calif.; two step-sisters, Becky Johnston of DeSoto and Patty Randolph of Des Moines; and his grandparents, Verl and Inez Dillinger of Peru.

Burial will be at Peru Cemetery. Memorial contribtions may be made to the family.
