TAKES HIS OWN LIFE

Ollie McKeever of Barney Broods Over Ill Health and Hangs Self

Ollie McKeever, Walnut township farmer, ended his life by hanging early last Friday morning and his body was discovered by his wife withing a short time after the deed was committed.

Mr. McKeever, who was 42 years of age, had a severe attack of the flu last winter, which seriously affected his health. Brooding over this and the fear that he would be committed to the state hospital, where he was formerly confined, undoubtedly led to his mental unbalance and to his self-destruction. it is a case of unusual sadness, evoking the deepest sympathy for his wife and family of five children.

Funeral services were held in Winterset Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church and burial made in the Winterset cemetery.
