Wanda Marie Simmons, Winterset

Wanda Marie Simmons, 72, died in her home on August 31, 1992. Funeral services are scheduled for Thurs., Sept. 3 from 12 noon to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Simmons was born in Peru on December 14, 1919 to Dennis and Mary Gladys (Sanders) Hayden. She married Claude E. Simmons in Bethany, Mo., on November 10, 1941. She was a life-long resident of Winterset and was an employee at the Madison County Courthouse. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Grace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, and a sister.

Surviving relatives include one son, Dennis Simmons of Winterset; two daughters, Dawn Cline and Tammy Simmons, both of Winterset; one brother, Merle Hayden of Davenport; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be at Peru Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the family.
