Services for Harry J. Rockey of Truro will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kale Funeral Home here, with burial in the Peru Cemetery. Mr. Rockey, 85, died of a heart ailment Monday at Des Moines General Hospital.

Born in Altoona, Pa., he came to Truro in 1910 and retired from Reed Feed and Grain Co. He formerly worked for Solar Aircraft.

Surviving are his wife, Loree; three sons, Herbert of Kennewick, Wash., David of Phoenix, Ariz, and Norman of Truro; two daughters, Mary Rockey of Truro and Marcia Thoren of Des Moines; a brother, and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Harry Jonathan Rockey, Truro

Funeral services for Harry Jonathan Rocky (Rockey), 85, were held Thurs., Feb. 21 at Kale Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Helton of St. Charles officiating. Rockey died February 18 at Des Moines General Hospital.

A lifelong Truro area resident, he was born in Altoona, Pa. to Frank and Mary (Barclay) Rockey. Moving to the Truro area while young, he went to the Peru schools. He was employed by the Truro schools in his early years, worked at Solar Aircraft from 1951 to 1958, and was employed at Reed Feed and Grain in Truro until his retiement. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Peru. On June3, 1939 he married Loree Christensen in Truro.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Loree; three sons, Herbert Dean and wife, Marguerite, of Kennewick, Wash., David Eugene and wife, Vicki, of Phoenix, Arz., and Norman Paul and wife, Joanne, of Truro; two daughters, Mary Esther Rockey of Truro and Marcia Irene Thoren of Des Moines; a brother, Kenneth Rockey of Winterset; and nine grandchildren.

Burial was at Peru Cemetery.
