Funeral services for George F. Huston, 78, were held Mon., Jan. 14 at First United Methodist Church of Lorimor where he was a member. He died of a heart ailment Fri. Jan. 11 at Des Moines General Hospital.
He was born in Macksburg February 2, 1912 to George and Josephine (Clement) Huston and married Doris Bell October 4, 1932 in Bethany, Mo. He lived in Lorimor most of his life and was 1990 Snow King. He had retired from United Contractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife of Lorimor; a son, Ronald of Tacoma, Wash.; a daughter, Joyce Davison of Osceola; three sisters, Della Kappes of Lake Zurich, Ill., Emma Christiansen of Winterset and Ruth Wilk of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Paul of Indianola; and four grandchildren.
Burial was at Peru Cemetery.

George Huston Dies - Lorimor
George Frank Huston, 78, of R.R. 1 Box 190, Lorimor, passed away Friday, January 11, 1991, at the Des Moines General Hospital.
He was born February 2, 1912 in Macksburg, Iowa, the son of George and Josephine (Clement) Huston. He was educated in the Macksburg Schools. On October 4, 1932, he was married to Doris Bell at Bethany.
Mr. Houston (Huston) was a farmer, had been employed by United Contractors until 1971, and also worked for Roseman Feed and Milling. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Lorimor.
He is survived by his wife, Doris, of Lorimor; a son, Ronald Gene (w-Dianne) Huston of Tacoma, Washington; a daughter, Joyce (h-Ed) Davison of Osceola; 4 grandchildren; three sisters, Della Kappes of Lake Zurich, Illinois, Emma Christensen of Winterset, and Ruth Wilk of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a brother, Paul Huston of Indianola.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Stanley, Harold and Roy.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the United Methodist Church at Lorimor with the Rev. Merrill Siler officiating (officiating). Burial was at the Peru Iowa Cemetery with the Kale Funeral Home of Osceola in charge of the arrangements.
